Powderfinger - Parables For Wooden Ears (30th Anniversary Safron Yellow Vinyl)

In July 1994, Powderfinger released their debut album, Parables For Wooden Ears. Produced by the late, legendary Australian producer Tony Cohen, who infused the album with its expansive sound. Recorded at Metropolis Studios, it signaled the arrival of one of Australia’s most influential rock bands. The album features the singles "Tail," "Save Your Skin," and "Grave Concern," marking the band’s early experimentation and ambition.

While Powderfinger's music would grow and transform in the years that followed, *Parables For Wooden Ears* remains a vital chapter in the development of their signature style. Now, 30 years later, the album is being celebrated with a limited-edition pressing on 180-gram vinyl—the first time it's been available as a standalone vinyl release. This special edition, limited to 1,994 copies in honour of the year of its original release, has been re-mastered specifically for vinyl and pressed at Suitcase Records in the band's hometown of Brisbane. Presented in a stunning gatefold sleeve with full lyrics, the album is pressed on "Saffron Yellow" vinyl.
